Last Sunday I took a 10 hour ride and in the first part of my trip I went through Borrego Springs California and had a early lunch. As I was leaving about 50 or more sportbikes rolled in! Borrego is a pretty small town but popular with riders because of the nearby roads (Mt. Palomar and Montezuma hwy). But I only saw a 1125R in the group and no other XB's. In the 10 hours on the road and woll over 150 bikes passed not once did I see another XB of any sort. Guess I have a rare exotic!

That's only 580+ miles from me up in norcal-LoL-I'm sure there's gotta be more buellers in the LA/ San diego area?!
Compared to all the rice burners we are super exotica mi bredrin!!

Yes you do, and that why you well and all of us have one. I bet you could see huge packs of the same bikes in that group. People would rather be like everyone else.

My friends went to Borego last weekend too. I stayed on the coast or else you would have seen one other XB :D

I'm in San Diego btw

I was in the sportbike scene in So Cal for a long time, no bolts down there. I saw one guy on this forum with one on palomar. Its a young scene down there, all the navy guys buy rice. I miss palomar so bad. But got it o.k. up here. What did you think of palomar Vanson?

I have been going to Palomar for years and while it is fun I only keep my speed up on the corners and slow on the few straight parts so I dont piss the locals off even more than they already are. Way to many people treat Palomar like a free track day. BTW I'm Navy:)

I try to ride that area at least once a month, particularly Palomar tight side. I usually see a few Buells while I'm there not including my bike or Brettxb12r's.

Cool pic from our last trip.

Pomona, CA here. I used to run Palomar on my 636 but it's been ages. Borrego is a great area.

hey pockets if I ever get down to L.A. I'll look you up and we'll do angeles crest. I used to hangout in san dimas and pomona all the time.

I loved angeles crest! Alot of riders bite off more than they can chew on that one.
Great rock climbing up there too[up]
