It can be done. Pete at Grandstand designs did it on his street bike. He has the 240 kit on it, so he used the Ss arm for more wheel base.
He had to fab a extension for the top shock mount that brought it out and down. The Ss frame's mount is positioned differently then the regular S models on the frame. Other then that I dont think it would require any major mods. His email is [email protected] I am sure he would be willing to help you out with any info.
I am running a 200mm tire currently and don't want to go to any bigger so I am wondering if I would be able to keep the belt drive, just go with the Ss belt setup? Also I understand brake lines would need to be extended and what not but I would really appreciate any info on the major components of the conversion and any hidden obstacles you can think of.
I just want that little extra length for the look and as well would be converting the tail to the Scg tail along with the suspension to lower the stance.
Nice I went with a similar setup, but opposite of you. I had a Ss, and converted it to a firebolt body, with all the Ss parts. So its basically a firebolt long!
I have a few more things to finish up, but heres a cell phone pic I took the other day.
I think if your 200 setup is running fine on your current setup, there shouldnt be any difference with the Ss swing arm. The tough part will be modding the upper shock mount. Like I said maybe Pete can help you out, he has a real nice piece he made up. He is a great craftsman.
