We sell the ASV line. It depends on what you consider "too expensive." There are 2 versions to choose from: the F3 ($162 shipped per set) and the c/5 ($225 shipped per set). Several color options available. I ran the cheap eBay China made ones before these and there's really no comparison in quality and functionality.

I seem to have short fingers. The clutch has slipped from my finger tips mid shift on more than one occasion. Are there reduced reach levers?

The ASV levers we sell have nearly infinite adjustability (although the clutch throw is driven to some extent by the clutch itself) and they can be ordered in standard or shorty lever length (or one of each if preferred).

madhornets.com...shorties for about 40 bucks, direct fit, no mods needed. had a set one my bike for a year with no issues.

Thanks for the advice. I laid the buell down and bent the clutch lever.
