Brake caliper composition?

Anyone know if the front caliper is Aluminum? If so I was going to take LeFox's trick a step further and hit the little Buell ZTL logo on it with some sandpaper...

Why not just paint it with touch up paint?

Right, I'm either going to sand down to the metal, or hit it with silver paint, just figured someone would know it's composition. I know some calipers are billet alu, I figure they are but don't want to end up finding out they're not.

I do believe that they are investment cast Aluminum, Higher density, tighter grain structure.
