I put new pads on and for the past 50 miles or so, I still hear them buzzing on the rotor.. any ideas? No "dragging" really, just buzzing..

i had the same problem when i put mine on a while back. bleed your front brakes and see if that helps, that stopped mine.

I just dumped the fluid and replaced it a few days ago.. no change at all. There doesnt seem to be any signs of heat on the rotor or anything.. just a buzz that kinda comes and goes as you use that front brake. I might tap the brake and it will go away for a few min then it slowly comes back.. grab some break and it gets louder as you come to a stop.. then take-off and it may go away for a while.. its driving me nuts! Its not real loud or anything, its just "there" and its fucking with my mind. Know what I mean?

My EBC HH pads have made - i guess you could say - a "buzzing" sound since i put them on. Always sounds the same regardless of pressure applied or speed. They work great and it hasnt really bothered me

my 9's brakes have buzzed for as long as i've had it, but i've always thought it was an electrical buzzing, not a mechanical buzzing... since the light and brakes still work i've never really been fussed with it. isnt there a hydaulic pump in the system somewhere? maybe its that?

Unless I am going slow with my shield flipped up I dont hear anything. I have Lyndall Golds on mine btw and yes there is a slight noise but I ignore it. You might invest in a louder muffler. j/k

I never really noticed the buzz until I rode one day with just a face mask. So I changed my brake pads and bled them. I still hear the buzzing and that was 2000 miles ago. I'm guessing it's normal.

Is it only when you are braking?
Sounds like the rotor floating. Not a problem until the rotor exceeds runout tolerances or you feel pulsing in the lever.

It's normal. Mine are EBC HH and always buzz under braking and when first installed.
You hear that noise when you apply the brakes with some pads(Depends on the pads). New pads do that because they are wearing into the shape of the rotor. You probably will also notice that you have no leaver travel till brakes are "on" at first and when the noise goes away you'll have a set in your lever before the brakes are "on". that is the gap of raised material worn down to the rotor.

Yes I confirm that's normal until u pay double for brembo pads.... And these a great in dry and super hot condition. Just the price sucks.

gloomshadow: if your new pads are EBC-HH pads, it is completely normal. what you're experiencing is that the pad material on EBC pads is quite thick. when you installed them you pushed the caliper pistons back into their respective bores and in the process, the pistons pushed back into a slight amount of corrosion or debris in their bores. once you get some miles on the pads and repeatedly use them, the bores will be cleaned up enough by the pistons moving in and out to stop the noise for the most part. it's completely normal.
