Hello friends! Today I changed the spark plugs on my Buell xb12x 2007 and found that the rear breather hose is in very bad condition. Please tell me, who replaces them with what? I found an original spare part that with delivery will cost me $120, which I think is quite a lot for a piece of hose

I replaced mine with a length of fuel line from the local auto parts store. The clamp was the more difficult portion for me. I don't remember what I used for a clamp. I don't think I used a hose clamp style, but I don't think I could get an Oeteker style clamp back on it.

Anton, consider installing a catch can for the breather fumes. You can just run bulk hose to the catch can. Where in the world are you?

Motoguy, i think he's referring the oil breather (PCV) vent hoses. You can just use zip ties on that. They're not under pressure so they should be fine for it.

Depending on where you are, you can go to a parts store and persuade the drone at the front to let you go back and look at the automotive hoses. Look for one that has the same dimensions and 90 degree bend in it.

+1 on zip-ties. I use two on each valve.

Note - the grommets are bad about age-hardening, and will allow oil vapor to escape. IIRC, they are available from a HD dealer. (As are several other Buell part numbers.)

There are some Dormer parts that fit and work as well. I've got the packages in the garage, I'll try to get the part #. If you take your old grommet into an auto parts store you should be able to find a suitable replacement. I think they're still available from Harley as well.
