I just installed a Brembo clutch master on my CR from a ducati. I have bled it twice now and it still wont shift smooth and wont engage 100%. When i put it into gear (doesnt shift hard per say) the bike revs to 2k RPMS and wont go lower unless it is in neutral.

Do i still have air in the lines? I went through half a bottle of brake fluid and even tried a fuel mixer baster (turkey baster) and that seemed to make it worse so I went through the old way of bleeding.

Here are the parts i picked up.

Bled both top and button holes again today and it still has the rev problem. Im going to do a TPS reset tomorrow and hope that helps.

The master i bought should work loads better then the stock one cause of the radial design but it just seems like it wants to engage the clutch 90%. Its alot easier to pull then stock but it still has the same trouble getting the bike into neutral.

Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated guys. I would love to be able to cruise around before i get my second surgery next week on my collar bone. Maybe the remote reservoir i bought is just to cheap to work well? The red one i have for my brembo front brake works fine.

Do you have access to a vacuum bleeder? Ive seen similar issues in hydraulic clutch systems in cars, because of the way the lines and hoses route air gets trapped in weird places. What ive done to remedy this is put the reservoir under a vacuum, this will draw the air out of the lines, and a simple pump pump pump bleed.

I bought a fuel mixer (Turkey baster) and tired it like that. That seemed to make it worse and so i went back to the old fashion way.

Pump it a dozen times really fast, then secure it in the applied position, let sit an hour, repeat. Maybe maybe. Or your master just blows and its a ****** mod.

I bet there's still some air in there mine was a B**** to get all the air out of. I gravity bleed it just opened the bottom bleeder and kept tapping the clutch cover with a rubber mallet never hitting the lever at the top. Then when no more air was coming i closed the bleeder pumped the lever a bunch and did the top bleeder

Thanks guys, I will try some of the methods mentioned.

And crash, i really hope it isnt money down the drain lol!

I got it figured out. Turns out it is the clutch switch. It idles the bike down when it knows the clutch is pulled in. The high idle while in gear and switch is open is for ease of starting from a stop.
