I've had quite a few Buells in my time, but never a Blast!
Bubbles bought this right after graduating her MSF class. an 2008 with only 3000-ish miles but didn't run, and had been unmaintained for way too long:(

Time to unload and git ta werk!

Ironically it was one of the H-D MSF class bikes back in '08, so ya it needed clutch work... and a whole LOT of cleaning.

A LOT:

I really like the way they look without the giant air cleaner. I'll figure something out...

The PO had put on a new Vance and Hines exhaust and never even ran the bike! So up on the lift and a HUGE Thank You to Jet Lee and others for the comprehensive Blast Upgrade list:angel:

Clutch fixed, carb torn apart and cleaned, bigger jets in, new plug, fresh fuel, and whoa she runs great! First ride and that's a happy Bubbles:)

And went to race the Streets of Willow:eek:
You wouldn't believe the good attention it got! "Wow, I used to have one..." :)

I SWEAR her leathers only match mine because of a craigslist fluke and a very tiny man selling his...:upset:

We were even able to drag race it down the straightaway of Big Willow the night before. 78MPH! Haha.

So, one last ride and it'a time to get real!

She sanded all the scratches out, got some paint from Finishmaster that matched her first car (Toyota Tercel/Corolla), e-bayed some pleated marine vinyl, and blew it back apart...

It's not really that hard 10 mins and 4 pieces:eagerness:

Bubbles is ecstatic about it and I like making a pretty lady happy. Win! Honestly though, she did all the hard work totally herself, that girl is super creative and can spin a wrench too:love_heart:

Theres a few little finishing touches coming in the mail, I'll be sure to post the final pics. But once again, a serious Thanks to the helpful posting Blastards that made this job way to easy for us. Cheers!

Don't worry about the leather Cooter, the Women's style looks fine on you!!
I used to have one as well. Purple.
I like the seat on it.
Both seem to be keepers.

I agree, the leather, though a bit on the feminine side, looks good on him, I don't know why you feel that you have to swear and, make up some story about a Craig's list fluke, its cool, your in touch with your feminine side, nothing wrong with that especially living in Cali.

My last Dianese suit was so old the popular colors on it were Black/Royal Blue/and ....Silver. Which one of the Village people does that make me? Is there a Gimp in the Village people?:upset:

Wow, what a great project story! I must say, upon first glance I thought it was a basket case but it came right back to life! The new color's nice, really brings some character to the bike.

Thanks for posting that, very cool~
