Buddy just got a bike...

And he sent me a picture of it, first thing I noticed was the brake caliper....is it me or is that a ztl 6 pot caliper on his bike? And haven't asked him yet but I can't tell what it is (kaki,Yamaha,hinda....?) all I know is it's a 600.

Looks like just a regular caliper to me, the ztl clamps on the inside of the rotor and this one is clamping on the outside fo the rotor.

I dont think those are buell brakes. I have seen a lot of jap bikes with duel big(ish) brake rotors. But then again.. they could be two blast brakes... I dunno.. lol

I think so, 98 FZ6 is another possibility or some time around then.

I see now(he just brought it to my work) it's a decent bike, and I've just never seen a japaneese bike with dual 6pot calipers, definitely not ztl. Looks like I'll have another riding partner as long as he doesn't ride like an ass that is.

Really? Almost every Japanese bike has them.

That bike is a older generation Kawasaki with Tokico calipers. My 03 Kawasaki ZRX1200R had a dual 6 piston set up on it.
