They do the same job. I find ECMDroid to be much more user friendly. Even to Datalog/Megalog Viewer, to make yourself a custom new fuel map.

I'd use ECMSpy of I wanted to build a fuel map from scratch, but I honestly can't see the need to ever do that unless you have a unique engine build, stroker, turbo, etc. and then TunerPro is more common for any Dyno monkey to play with...

If it's not a drain plug, then what is it? What's it's purpose? And why would I want around 8oz of old oil still circulating in my engine combining with the new oil?

They are called Engine Case Casting Plugs. NOT drain-plugs. XB-XL-XR-Big Twins all have them. Holes are strategically placed and drilled at precise locations in the cases so that passages can be machined during the manufacturing process. The holes are then capped with threaded plugs during engine assembly. There is NO mention of them in any service or owners manual because they have NO importance whatsoever to the owner-operator-service tech. They are tapered. Where they install is thinnest part of the cases. Remove at your own peril.

In the other matter, DTC 21 keeps coming back every time I delete it and it stays in the history

Did you read and comprehend what I mentioned earlier? One more time:
FC#21----------IEV system fault. Generated by either actuator assembly...faulty activator cable...faulty muffler valve..or all of the above. You have an aftermarket muffler. DELETE the IEV feature.
Access ECM via diagnostics plug....find IEV SYSTEM FEATURE box....check box to deactivate...check tab to confirm.

The guy who's video I watched on YT, seemed to be a pretty hardcore Buell enthusiast like ya'll are, so I would kinda think he knew what he was saying...but idk maybe not. It was 2 brothers who had a bunch of Buells in their garage, and around half of them appeared to have the cases split.

Cases split to repair damage done from repeatedly removing threaded case plugs.
