well it looks like this year I wont be able to keep the bikes in a heated garage, thitch means they will be in my garage all winter usually around 5 months in temps ranging from -20 to +30 its super cold here lol. my question is besides the obvious stuff ( taking battery inside and keep on tender) what else should I do to prepare? should i invest in some lifts? and if so whitch ones? i have the 0- model with spools built in swingarm. should I buy stablizer for fuel? drain Oil?

sorry for all the noob Qs but normally I get to store it inside a heated facility just not this year. any help would be appreicated or any leads on wear to get stands for this wide swing armed mother f-er lol

I have my xb on stands, battery maintainer, fuel stabilizor, fresh oil and trans fluid, and covered in my unheated garage.

I live in nd and I fill up before storage keep it on a tender in the garage no stable and run it every two weeks or so make sure to let it warm up to full temp. Never had a problem doing this with every bike I've had.

with our aluminum frames not adding stable won't hurt anything. you don't have to worry about moister or water in the gas causing rust. I would keep them on stands tho, especially with that kind of cold tire pressure will diminish and well its just not good for the tires. thats about it tho.

fill the tank add correct oz for gallons.
its not rust you want to combat it is the brake down of the gas especially since nearly all fuel has 10% ethnol that's very hard on aluminum. battery on tender oil correct level full fuel and stabil.

If it was mine I wouldnt start it every two weeks. Seems hard on it to me. Lots of cold dry starts for no reason. I let it sit ALL winter until spring.

Agreed, best to let it hibernate. Mine is not on stands, but I roll it every once in a while if I remember. On a tender, with stabil.

i would like to at least get a rear stand, any suggestions on a cheap one?

and thanks for the advice everyone!
