Buell Blast Tranny problems

So I have a 2001 Blast and have a bit of a weird transmission problem.

In fifth gear at lower rpms the it feels like the transmission is slipping gear or ratcheting. I was wondering what would cause this problem and/or what would fix it. We've been told to try a shifter pawl adjustment and didn't know if this was the fix we needed.

Clutch ramp adjustment will cure your woes. Just follow the FSM.

A shift pawl adjustment would be beneficial, especially since you'll already have that bitch-of-an-A-arm off. Use a universal socket adapter to make life easier in removing that thing.

we did both while we had the foot peg bracket off.
seams to be running better, but still too cold out to really tell.
