I love that thruxton.... want one soooooo bad

A kid on my street just bought one. He passes the house every day as I'm outside working in the yard, bike, whatever, and alli can do is just watch him cruise by! Good looking bike!

I was only days away from signing the loan papers on a brand new Thruxton in 2007 when I found Buellah. They really are a great looking bike. The new Norton Commando is even sexier...:D

Twoguns,I am also curious about those bars on the tail myself, and I would love to own either the Norton or the Triumph.

Agree, the new Nortons are bada$$, but way too expensive. You could buy two Thruxtons for the cost of one of them and they don't perform that much better.

The stock Thruxtons are nice and really stick to the classic design including tiny tires and heavy spoke wheels. I dropped about 2 grand on the forged wheels (with 160 rear/120 front tires), another 1200 on the Titanium Arrow exhaust, 300 for the steering damper, and etc, etc. Came out awesome and still ended up cheaper than the Norton. It performed decently, but with only 68 HP and 51 ft/lbs of torque it wasn't even close to the Buell. Definitely an eye catcher though. I loved it, but I needed car project funds.

Here's a couple more pics of it:

You'll get no arguement from me :D
The commandos are pretty much hand assembled though. Both bikes are really about my favorite as far as looks go. But both are kind of old school technology with modern upgrades you know? It would be unfair to compare the handling or torque of either against the BMC line.

Your Thruxton was really outstanding. I dig that s*%# out of it [up] very impressive

That Triumph is spectacular. I really like the cafe look over just about anything; we did a raffle bike--883 Iron Cafe Racer at the dealership that I work at--think it turned out pretty nice (though I would have used a Nightster with laced wheels if it was my choice).
