Hello all, just a note to share how much I love my new '08 XB12Ss!
I'm a VERY experienced rider and have owned a ridiculous number of bikes, etc., etc. I've been searching for something to get excited about again after so many somewhat 'ordinary' machines. Now, I smile just thinking about riding again, just like the 'old days'!!
Took the XB to a CLASS track day with Reg Pridmore after the 1000 mile service to finish breaking it in and had some feedback from the track.
Best stock suspension I've ever had, great range of adjustability from super comfy on the street to well controlled on the track. Had no problems passing just about everybody, though I did get passed at the ends of the straights by the superbikes, not unexpected. I got 'em back in the next couple turns, though. Surprised I was able to stay even on the straights with Hypermotard and BMW HP2, both of which are supposed to be faster?!?Loving the Buell!

Thanks for posting feedback from your bike. It's nice to have that security in the back of your mind that even if you push the limits a little bit the Buell will handle it.

Welcome. We have a similar background. I have NEVER stepped off my bike without staring at it as I walk away. I love it. My golf game has suffered because of it. If given the choice I'm on two wheels. Mod it from stock and post pics

Thats great to hear.... I've been finding myself waking up in the middle of the night to just spend an hour or so just sitting and staring at her in the garage... I love my new (well new to me) buell. I've been doing lots of work to it (DIY mods, clean up, etc.) and cannot wait to get her on the road.

Great to hear how satisfied people are with there bikes... especially the experienced riders!

Shhhhhh! dont let everyone know. We like owning the bikes no one knows about or understands.

that's really true, everyone that hasn't ridden my bike thinks it's an oddball piece of crap. 'course the guys that get passed on the track by the oddball piece of crap are really confused! Ground off the peg feelers and into the pegs themselves, so it's leaning pretty good! That's with the suspension full stiff, as well. I'm not changing anything other than add some touring accessories for some long trips' windshield, bags, saddle.

TRISPEED.......Buell translated from the latin word....ADDICTED LIKE CRACK...gotta have it...HA HA...keep it tween the ditches...
