part # B-45657 from what i have found out it only costs $60.00 through Harley from kent moore tools ... the thing is they say it will take 2-3 weeks b4 i will have it . wtf'f with that ??

+1 on using a screwdriver. If you put a short bolt on the threaded puller hole and use something as a small fulcrom point on the frame (I used a 1/4" socket sitting on a rag to avoid marking the frame) a flat-bladed screwdriver will work just fine to lever on the bolt-head.
There are probably many ways to do it but that is one that doesn't risk marking the pump or the frame.

made one from scrap metal; its curved instead of squared like the kent one. drilled a hole in the middle and came out in 30 sec. :D

try jim's usa...they may not have the tool you're looking for, but they have lots of others tools for Buell motorcycles, catalogs are pdf format, tools start on tab 20

Does the swingarm on a xb12r really have to be taken off to pull the fuel pump? Or can you just undo bolt the bottom of the shock and let the swingarm drop a bit and get it out?

What size bolt fits in the puller hole?

1/4-20

When I pulled mine I just screwed in a bolt, then wiggled and pulled. It came out easy. I did have my swing arm off though so I had a straight pull on the bolt.

A screwdriver should do fine.

Go to local Home Depot and buy a 1/4-20 x 1.5" long bolt, a washer, a piece of thick aluminum bar, some tape and make your own tool
