well title says it all. my buell goin be down for a bit. got out of class yesterday and on way home had an idiot pull out of a parking lot right in front of me. bike actually doesnt have much damage but goin have to wait for it to get paid to get fixed. and im goin be down for a bit on account of an broken ankle. this thing hurts like bitch. but once im cleared for partially weight bearing on it ill prolly jump back on. i may be letting yall know what parts i need soon and maybe yall can help me out. love tht bike but maybe i get a ducati out of this settlement too hahahaa :D

That's suck man! I've been lucky so far. There's so many people that don't watch for anybody in parking lots - I don't even like driving my car through them sometimes! People make me angry [mad]

Glad you're otherwise okay though. Hope the ankle heals up nice so that you won't have any problems down the road.

yeah i was goin straight down road and he just never looked comin out. just goes to show how u can always control. learned tht lesson a bit better. yeah there may be some ligament damage though. not sure yet

Glad to hear you're okay man. I had a similar accident. Be careful about getting back on the bike too soon though, I dropped the bike, almost on myself.

You don't live near Santa Cruz, CA by chance do you? Heard about a crash involving a Buell last night.

no im in central texas. and no i didnt have riding boots on. dont genreally wear them to go the half mile to class... but dunno if they woulda saved me anyway on this one. broke the base of the tibula(aka the hardest bone in ur body to break) all the way through.

and it goin be hard not to get on once im partially weight bearing again. caus i getting a new toy that i already had in motion before this happened. ducati 999s.

Sorry to hear about the broken bone. How long did the docs say it would take to heal you back up?

Just took a quick google image search look at the 999s - that thing looks all business. [cool]

non weight bearing for 2 months, partial weight for another 2. which sucks caus i was planning track day later this month. oh well. and yeah its pretty tight. great bike

good luck man, I just got back to full weight bearing after breaking my ankle and tearing my achillies 6 months and counting

Broken bones suck, they come back to haunt you later with age.--- Hope your convalescence goes well.
