Buell History Question?

So I remember reading something in the 25 years of buell book about Erik helping to build and develop the engine for the V-Rod. I also thought i read that Harley ended up taking the engine and putting it into the v-rod.

I've heard lots of talk about Porsche designing that engine as well. So I am just curious as to how the story really goes?.....

does anybody have any information on it?

It's all somewhat true.

I watched a video on youtube where he talked a lot about that engine and how it started and how it became what it is now(vrod engine).
