Hi,

i dropped my Buell XB 12s in a couple + years ago in favour of something new. Tried a Z1000 (08) which i went berzerk at (moded the hell out of, bling-ling + power up mods) and made a total makeover. After that bike was complet, i realized it was a sportbike in really should have bought instead. Expenive mistake:(
Well, i went with a ZX10R (08), this piece was stolen and i now use a R1 (08). This bike is a killer talking chassis/handling and usable powerband.
Can't help myself, i swore i will never overlook Buell. So, here i am, curious. Still, it seems like Buell will eat more money than i can spend at mods, to be all that i want. Looking at the new CR, in white/black, i can't say much else than - nice!
I wonder if injection is better at this one compaired to the 09 model?
rode the 1125R three times, i did not like that bike at all.
Also heard, as of today, the Buell factory will be closed until januari 2010? Is this true, financial troubles or what?
Also wonder how the new MV Agusta Brutale will end up beeing. The 2010 model is supposedly made to be a power house. Heard it will come a factory power up kit setting it back at 200hp! That seems incredible.
Well, back to the story of the closing of the Buell plant... anyone?

Buell as of now is toast. Waiting to see what becomes of the brand. MV is also being sold off. look at all the posts under yours.

Well, as it seems, i understand them partly. I think Eric and the devotes of the company wanted something that made the bikes stronger and revs more and faster (no air cooled). However, as thet probably believed they new customer demands, they went with this upgrade of engine. I myself also firmly belive they should have done what Wakan now do. Buell did a big mistake. They took away something of an origin, now they had to compete with likes of KTM, Ducce, Aprila aso aso. This market they now went into, Buell were doomed before they even began the release of 1125 platform. If, as you mentioned, had gone for a torque monster and more beautiful air cooled big SS engine, things might have been very different. I think Eric did to much of what he wanted, instead of really finding out what Buell had built in kind of customer demand... and have to come to be about. It is wickedly sad. In our part of the world, Buell have really bad second hand value. I guess it is becoming very much worse now!?
I really don't know what to say more. Bad it is, as it is. The XB platform live long, maybe too long. Well well.. now it is R.I.P. . . . forever!?
