I thought I would ask the other 03/04 SVT Cobra owners here about your suspension setups and if you have aftermaket caster/camber plates and which brands/ which one ones. I like the maxium Motorsports ones for that are specific for the 03/04 cobra . and has any of you have put in new bushings for your IRS . i need to replace my rear diff. gasket its leaking from all the hard launches and thinking of putting a heavy duty thicker diff cover on it or brace, and maybe next year put in a rear diff cooler back there for it. have any of you done any of that and what did you use brand/model wise for cover or brace. also what struts/shocks do you have, still stock bilstiens or what . mine was lowered by previuos owner(he only put5000miles on the cobra) with ford racing springs & left the struts/shocks stock, and since they lasted so long(148k & just now going bad should have replaced them at 60-70k but they was still good ride & no leaks) and cornered great with them I will be going with the bilstein again , but i will get the new sport bilstein for lowered cobras. tire rack has them for a good price but special order(use to everything for my cobra special order)anywhere else have them for good low price?
i busted a rear swar bar link to, the damn stock plastic that the ball goes in broke and it popped out. gotta get new tires too.
i will definitely say my 2004 SVT Cobra is & has been the most Reliable vehicle I have ever owned & driven. it goes to prove how well built the car and Hand Built engine is !! i have only replaced the alternator(replaced belt with alternator like i do when i replace any alternator) replaced tires, oil and filter, plugs and one coil over plug because i sprayed water at wrong angle when washing engine and it got under the cover , my fault.
last but not least other than ford any ideal on where to get an OEM spoiler for the 03/04 svt cobras i want to put the original back on it, the saleen spoiler sucks and is warping frm the heat of the summer sun and the high wind down force(the original owner put it on too).
