I just read on here that the 08 header on the xb12r is the same as the 07 can you check the part numbers for me.I want to get the right side air scope...Thank you for your time...

08 XB12R Header P/N - S0101.1AAA

Sorry man, they are different. I believe the front cylinder pipe curves upward more to interfere with a right side air scoop.

Thats what i thought but there is a post floatin around and they said that its only the European bikes that have the higher pipe.The sales person that sold me my bike told me it was a hole new design.I was just checkin the truth...Thank you.

Yes but trojan horse sells the right side scoop for your bike. Go to www.trojan-horse.co.uk and you can call and order. It is in the UK but you can still get it.

Depends on the year. In the first post, I mixed up the 9 and 12 part numbers, so disreguard the two part numbers from before. The headers never changed, so that was also wrong. I was in a hurry yesterday and didnt look at it well enough. So I looked at it again this morning. It must be something with the frame that changed. I looked at a new and couple year old bike yestereday and they do appear to come closer to the frame on the '08s.


Here is a break down on the years of the headers directly from the Buell parts books. Europe is the same as the US unless listed.

XB9R/S 2003 - S0101.02A8

2004 - Same as 03

2005 - Same as 03

2006 - S0101.02A8A

2007 - Same as 06

2008 - Same as 06 (Europe changed to S0101.5AA)



XB12R/S 2004 - S0101.1AA

2005 - Same as 04

2006 - S0101.1AAA

2007 - Same as 06

2008 - Same as 06 (Europe changed to S0101.5AA)




XB12X - 2006 - S0101.1AAA

2007 - Same as 06

2008 - Same as 06 (Europe changed to S0101.5AA)
