buell performance...where to begin?!

I tried RedLine oil in my Buell and had issues. I decided to switch at around 2500 miles and went through an oil change about every 1000 miles. After the third oil change(including the filter) in eight weeks I decided to stick to regular 20w-50.
What could I have been doing wrong

what do you mean by 'issues'?
and also, please clarify what you mean by
'I decided to switch at around 2500 miles and went through an oil change about every 1000 miles'

Why not give your bike the best she can get. just search for the best price on the expensive plugs and buy them. I have seen many more plug choices than wire options. Anyone seen a better wire out there?

Well, 03F if you read what maybebuell wrote there is NO reason to upgrade or improve your ignition at all.

Too bad all these race teams all over the planet didnt know that they could save tens of thousands of dollars a season on ignition components, not to mention the saleries of the engineers that research burn cycles and R&D ignition components tirelessly.

Shit, i could go back to a points system if Maybe is right "its just electrical" and has NOTHING to do with power.

Plugs are CRITICAL!

Hey Stopie +1 for your comments. You said exactly what I was going to say, I just didnt have the time to put them down this morning.

The only advantage Iridum plugs have is their service life. In the testing I have seen, you get a larger flame kernel with the copper plugs which means a more complete burn.

I choose to use the Iridum plugs because they aren't the easiest to get and I'd rather give up a little more complete burn that I'm not going to notice for the good feeling of not having to think about changing them for a long time...

I always ran the copper NGK's in my Evo 8 and changed them about every oil change because they were easy to get to and it's a good way to always have fresh plugs and keep an eye on the engine...

I would not use maybuell for Buell advice. He may know stuff about bikes, but he's been wrong too many times to take seriously. Being opinionated doesn't mean your opinion is right.

Yeah, I noticed but this one struck me as way off base and I just couldnt let it go.
I know it can be hard to pick up on sarcasim in a typed statement, but I assure you Dave there was a shit ton o sarcasim intended. :D

At this point, these discussions usually degrade into 'best oil filter' food fights.

Allow me to begin: Fram is best.
