Buell race Exhaust ?'s

My XB9S came with the Buell Race exhaust - can anyone tell me why they are so sought after? I see used ones on ebay go for more than new Jardines are going for.

Are they any better than any of the other aftermarket manufactuers? or is cuz they are no longer made?

I might put it up on ebay and then buy the CF Jardine.

Any thoughts?

another question is - am I hurting the motor by not having the race ECM also? I was gonna get it over the winter, but after reading some other posts... maybe I need it now.

They are sought after because a lot of people like the way they look and also the fact that they aren't made anymore. They are an ok pipe, but not the best performer. Some people just like the fact that everything is Buell on their bike that way.

I you are running any pipe at all, I would recommend geting a Race ECM or having your stock ECM re-mapped.
