Oh and I can already see the comments but my next bike will most likely be a Honda Fury. Yup you read that right. I am looking or a cruiser style bike I can sit two up on and toss on a couple side bags for a weekend trip. The Fury look cool out of the box and other than some small changes nothing costly or to reduce the reliability and it is ready to ride.

Here is one with some touches

Oh snap you went there. Be ready for a tongue lashing
I'm sure it's coming :) but I wouldn't say it if I didn't feel it was true. Before I bought my XB9R in 03, I had a Duc 916 for 3 years and did track days a lot, the Buell was so much better on the street but the 916 was better on the track. After that I did not ride a current Japanese bike until recently and just felt my Buell was a great handling machine. Now that I am the sales manager for an independent shop I ride them everyday. 600, 1000's from all manufacturers. ZX10 in my garage right now, CBR1000RR last weekend and so on. I feel they handle much smoother than my 9 did. The same corners and off ramps I can take way faster and smoother on the I4's. I even have an 08 1125R here that while it has a great motor, I still feel the geometry of the suspension lacks feel. It's like I'm pushing it and counter steering it way more than the Jap bikes. I too drank the cool aide for many years but I've always been one to accept new info and change my mind based on that info. I know many of us here don't get a chance to test ride anything and everything like I do but if you're down in San Diego I will certainly let you have a spin on a bike or two. :D

some people think buells should do one of tow things. put them up adn save them for nastalgia or ride the piss out of them until you cant get anymore parts. as far as chopping a buell of anykind its all up to the owner adn how much guilt one can put up with hehehe. btw whats up with making an uncomfy chopper why not do somethign you can ride with ease like a true buell. if not why not just use any dam engine bla bla. i do dig the rear brakes on the last set of pics though.

What frame are you going to get? Also any other mutant access. such as tank, fender, controls???

I might go through bare knuckle choppers. They've got a lot of original stuff that they make to customize it. Either them or twisted choppers. Both of them provide different options for all the other parts so you can get it how you really want it.

Bike is completely disassembled. I'm going with a frame from nastybike choppers. They do a VIN exchange program so I get to keep my original title without too much hassle. I'm going to start posting the parts on ebay for those that need extras or are trying to rebuild. You can email me at [email protected] if there's something specific you need.

that is sweet, also looks like a comfy ride too. im gettin kinda over the wide tire look though. specially since i learnt how much better a normal profile tire rides compared to a wide one.
