Last monday i was coming home late one night and i hit a deer going about 40 mph and i was less than a bloke away from home. As for the bike vs the deer i ended up killing it. luckly i was not too hurt walking away with tons of road rash and braking my hand. The damage on the bike isnt as nearly as bad as i thought it would be just finding the housing for the ignition was such a hassle[mad] but anyways it should be fixed within the month but i sadly wont be riding till october because of my cast[sad] but either way im pretty lucky to be in the condition that i am as well as the bike but i hope everyone is riding with safty out there and wearing their gear unlike i was:D

This was about 2 hours after the accident in the hospital right before i got my wounds scrubbed out:p

road rash sucks, man. glad you killed that idiot deer. I mean, do they not look before they cross or what? :D Glad you and bike only need minor repair.

Glad you're ok.

Gear, gear, gear. Anyone who has ever had road rash always wishes they wore gear...

Did they make you lay in what I can only imagine is a very uncomfortable position or is that because it kept you off the other scrapes? Sorry to hear it. Heal quick.

glad you are ok and i thought you were all mangled when i first seen the picture!

ouch, glad you are ok. Heal up quick! I know that scrub down sucked... I have had my own scrubbing, but now I wear the gear.

haha the cop did ask me if i wanted to keep the deer and that was the last thing on my mind and my friends were pissed that i didnt keep it. i was laying like that because the nurse had to get to all my wounds also i want wearing that when i crashed but i was wearing shorts[sad]and thank you everyone walking is getting easier by the day:) o and i gotta order some nice gear, any suggestions?

Damn man happy to see you got off with minor injuries! I live in Michigan and deer are my biggest concern when riding..especially in the upcoming season. Hope your recovery is fast and easy! Take care

I did the same thing on my Triumph! I was wearing gear though so no road rash but still broke my right hand and the bike is a loss.

Good luck with the recovery. Even though road rash/broken hand sucks, you got lucky.

My last motorcycle accident landed me in the hospital for 10 weeks, plus over a year of recovery. Will carry most of my scars the rest of my life. My road rash scars are just starting to fade after 7 years.

I now always wear at least helmet, gauntlet gloves, armored jacked, long pants and ridding boots.

Gear, gear, gear. Anyone who has ever had road rash always wishes they wore gear...

Yep, and anyone who doesn't wear gear has never had a serious wreck.

Speedy recovery dude and get back in the saddle.

Look both ways? That deer probably watched you leave the house and plotted it all out.

Glad you made it out ok.

KC

i might just put knifes at the end of my my bike so i can just slice thru them next time haha but thanks guys i sure did get lucky with my injuries.i hope i wont have too many scares :(
