Hey all, been scouring this forum for any helpful info on these bikes. As a new owner I want to make sure that this thing is always in great working order, and I know this is a wonderful source of information. Any info I should know? I never owned an air cooled bike before so I don't really know what the warm up procedure is, how long I can let it idle for while doing tests on it, common acronyms used here..etc. another thing I am interested in is the EcmSpy software. What is your thoughts on that? Fire away! Any info greatly appreciated!

O I have one expect to have a grin on your face every time you ride, don't expect anyone to know what a Buell is!

Haha! So I've definitely put some miles on this thing since I bought it last week, and today was the day that I finally realized, and said out loud "holy **** this thing is fast!"

you mentioned air-cooled....warm ups....etc. and that's smart thinking. always remember this about an XB motor: they hate high temps and don't have the ability to shed excess heat the way any liquid-cooled motor can do it. a few things greatly help keep your motor reasonably cool and trust me when i say your pistons/rings/gaskets/seals will thank you in kind for your efforts:
1-avoid prolonged stop and go traffic situations whenever possible.
2-run a top quality synthetic oil of correct viscosity for the temperature ranges you plan to ride in.
3-be cognizant of your cooling fan working properly.
4-add the right side scoop kit available from any H-D dealer and still active part numbers as follows:
M0851.7AA outer scoop-quantity needed is 1
M0852.7AA inner scoop-"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
AN1005.3FSS attachment screws---quantity needed is 3
