Buells are no longer worth a dime!

Haven't been on here for a couple of years, but thought I would drop a line and pass on some information about the Buell motorcycle. Today my buddie went to the dealer to buy a new StreetBob, and tried to trade in his 2008 XB12Scg,(as he has a Honda CBRR1000, that eats its lunch) and the dealer wouldn't give him a dime for the bike in trade! He stated that EagleMark will no longer offer financing on ANY Buells due to the recent demise of the brand. I know BuellPartsGuy is going to say that his dealership will do it all day long, but infact we went to Chandler HD, who is owned by the same company that ownes Arrowhead, and that was the outcome. So now, my buddie has a Streetbob as well as a Buell, that is now up for sale, but for way more than its worth, like $8000 more than its worth!

Nice for your buddy.I hope he has a great time at the harley cafe talking chrome.However to me my XB12Ss is not replaceable.Depends on which side of the glass you are on ay azsnow.Anyway it seems you will be much more comfortable riding bitch on his new streetbob than his super fast CBRRRRR ,so all is well have fun.

My 04 XB12r will stay with me till it falls apart.......thenI will put it back together and do it all over again. HD could not pay me enough to even think of riding any of their newer bikes.......i would rather have a bulivard or v-rod. We all know that a Hd dealer wont give us crap for our bikes as a trade in........they didnt want buells when they where new why would they want a used one sittin around. Your buddy must not like to ride the twisties very much (proof is that he wants a StreetBob)......if he did he would respect the buell for what it was ment for. Please quit trying to start drama in our board and go have fun with your boyfreind and his toys.

My good buddy just traded his 2006 XB12SS for a 2009 1125CR. They gave him enough for it that his new payments were the same for a bike 3 years newer.

Depends on where you live, top dollar in Canada! Sold my city x 2006 for what i paid for it 2 years ago, also upgraded 3 years newer 1125cr in the states

I'm glad a lot of dealerships don't care. I just got a great deal on my 9s from a chopper dealership that knew nothing about about Buells at all. I think that's a sign that we should be buying more of them now, not trying to get rid of them. [up]

I won't part with mine either. I made the mistake of getting rid of a XB a couple of years ago and have been kick myself in the ass ever since. Give it a couple of years and the Buell values will start to go up.

Why would you want to part with a distinctive machine like a Buell and get a cookie cutter HD Street Turd? Love my 09 Electra Glide, it is the me and the wife bike, but the '07 Buell kicks arse and them some! Can't see me ever getting rid of the Buell. As for dealer trade ins, it is their job to try and rape you.

used bike dealer down the street has an 06 xb12ss 15000 miles on it 6750.00,a 07 gsxr 750 9300 mile 6999.00,07 honda 1000 custom paint polished frame 12000 miles 7500.00.i would say the buell is matching or better resale than asian bikes.i have two other bikes both jap.i get way more questions and compliments on my buell than my custom busa.

I found a new '09 CR two months ago, and Eaglemark (HD Credit) financed me.
By the way I still love my HD Ultra Classic, and now my TWO 1125 CR's.
