So i live in a apartment so its kinda hard to wash the bike at home. She was neglected for two weeks after a long ride and covered in bugs. I have a spray bottle with mouthwash in it because it works extremely good as bug spray. I was sitting here thinking well it works to clean my teeth so i wonder if it will clean bugs off? To my surprise it works great! Spray it on walk across the garage get a rag and bam bugs come right off. Hit it with some detailer after and bam looks like i just found my new way to clean my bikes at my apartment.[up]
New discovery works great on plastidip also bugs on my forks came right off

The way I always did mine was; spray the bugs/grime with bug spray/cleaner/mouthwash and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then take a microfiber rag and soak it with glass cleaner (dripping wet) and then wipe off the dirt/bugs/grime.

Also, spray it with bug spray/cleaner/mouthwash, then take a buffing/polishing pad (which are usually foam) and cord-less drill, soak the pad with glass-cleaner and buff the bugs/grime/dirt away. Makes the dirtiest bikes clean in 5 minutes. With a drill, no more than 800 rpm's.
