W WiredForStereo Well-known member Joined May 7, 2015 Messages 73 Jun 22, 2015 #2 It's not the stator that's the problem, the stock lights are 55 watts, if I am correct. It's that that HIDs have a much higher surge on start up, leading to blown fuses and whatnot.
