alpinestars supertech-R boots (black/white)

alpinestars gp-pro gloves (black/white)

now i need a pants and jacket...
for pants i was thinking
alpinestars track pants
Alpinestars%20track%20pant.jpg

but the jacket is my worst problem
i want somthing that will save me in a crash
but somthing i can wear on verry hot and verry cold days

i love the icon brand so i was thinking about the
icon ARC speedfreak

or
the icon accelerant perforated
2009_Icon_Accelerant_Perforated_Jacket.jpg

or beter of with a alpinestars jacket???

ew mixing A* with Icon????? I love my A* perforated leather, and they have tones of great styles the allow is a mesh leather option, or they have a bunch of textile options. Say what you will but that alot of A* to mix with an icon.

i don't like the look of the a* textile jackets
and the icon ARC has leather on the shoulders and arms, so you have textile to keep you cold in the hot days but you have leather wher you need it when you go down.

if i take a look to the leather jackets from a*
i like the Helius jacket

but it hasn't the "hooligan-look" like the icon accelerant perforated jacket

my perf-leather just got worn yesterday all day (ft hood tx) and i hardly broke sweat. then you'll just have to go buy an icon outfit! my other hot as hell weather jacket is this

If that doesn't give the mad max hooligan look i dunno what would?!?!?!

You doing full race gear everywhere but the jacket doesn't make sense to me. You'll be much happier with a A* jacket in the long run. Plus they zip to those pants you're looking at.

a* for sure
Im not sure why ppl on the pnwriders forum are so anti Icon and say its for posers though. I do think its descent gear. But if you want protection I would go with shift, a* or dianese

Shift Racing gear would be at the top of my shopping list. I'd buy the hybrid jacket pictured below if I didn't already have their Air Avenger.

Shift Racing

I don't mind the white Icon jacket you put up, but that first one doesn't go with the other stuff at all. As much as people here say you should just get the A* jacket instead of mixing, you might end up with a group of riding friends who think you're a girl for coordinating your outfit so well, so that's a toss up.

the gloves and the boots is olready have the pants not but i was thinking of getting that one

so lets thing about it without the a* pants

I ride with the Icon Accelerant. (not into coordinating stuff like that) but i like it. Breathes well when riding but its kinda hot when sitting still. Anchorage only gets to be like...70s though...OH and it has a removable liner.

I'm in the same boat with you man. I chose between the Oneal Tirade and the RF-1000. I got the Oneal. Now I'm stuck on the jacket. I was looking at the Icon but the guy at cycle gear steered me away from it towards the Dianese because the "Icon doesn't breathe that well". I just didn't like the look of the Dianese.

hmm Icon breathes great for me but then again first jacket nothing really to compare it to...

alright I have the Icon Speedfreak jacket and I like it alot but... you need to wear it with Icon Arc Mesh Pants

The rest of the gear is great boots and gloves [up]

I also run a A* SG1 one piece suit It really makes me feel safe when I'm out pushing my luck with a good spine protector on (read Knox Aegis back protector)

So when I want to be cool in the heat I rock my speedfreak and ARC pants

When I want to push my luck in the turns I gear way up and ride early when its still in the 80's

Your gear can always evolve you have a great base the boots and gloves are great starters... get the speedfreak and ARC pants now and then a really good spine protector and last a nice one piece leather suit. Your off to a great start!!
