Just put premium gas in at Shell and went for a short highway ride. When I got off the highway I noticed a different engine noise. Thought it was from the highway construction nearby but it was my 09ss. Kinda valvey or something? No loss in power, still felt the same. Think its the gas? Anybody else with a strange mechanical noise with no loss of power or other symptoms?

Bad gas is usually more myth than reality, especially a name brand near a highway.

Loose/broken exhaust clamp or stud?

Have you done any Exhaust Mods or other work reciently? The Valve Trains on the Bikes are loud. What oil are you running?Bad Fuel would just cause studdering and loss of power and possible stalling. If you Start right up good and the bike idles w/o any issues you may just not be used to the Buell's loudness when it's running.Listen when it's idleing.
Check out the noise but also take and check out the oil used. Amsoil 20/50 is what really works well in these Engines.*Jimi

Shell gas is usually good quality. I would fill up only Shell or BP before I went to E-85 on my Camaro. Doubt it's that.
