Cant Remove Exhaust NEED help

So i got a problem used the search feature of the forum but cant seem to find the exact answer. well here it goes.... Im trying to send my exhaust to randy to get HAWKED and i followed the steps he gave me to remove the exhaust but i ran into a road block.... I cant seem to get to the rear exhaust strap nuts.... I have a free spirit belt tensioner and it seems to be in the way... i do not want to just start taking it off the wrong way and end up making it a bitch to get back on any help would be greatly appreciated....

A 6" extension with this on the end with a deep well socket on it will allow you to get to it. You do need to remove the sprocket cover.

i used that exact set up with the extension and couldnt get to it with the tensioner.... am i doing something wrong?

someone might have put the straps back on in an inconvenient location. you may have to remove more stuff to get at them. when you install make sure to put the nuts in a place where you can get at them.

yeah the bike only had 680 miles but that could be a possibility... i read another thread and i guess i could just push the axle forward and slack the belt and then take the belt tensioner off just thought it would be an easier task
