Connecticut for now....
I cant remember if it was this site but one of the motorcycle sites im on was taking about the new carbon fiber printer.

Well we just became a reseller for them so ill have one or several on site to play with :) and add to my current printing capabilities.

Many think its printing in true carbon fiber but thats not the case. Its printing in nylon and laying strands of carbon or glass for strength.

F@@king awesome right?

Purpony, do you own a shop or run a website or what? I'm definitely interested in learning more. We have all kinds of cool things in the plastics lab at the University, but I've been in the market for a printer kit for awhile. Just haven't found the right one yet. I'm building a scanner rig now. Purchasing a new computer has sort of put my operations on hold for now though.

Im a project manager at a 3d printing firm. www.interpromodels.com is our website. We offer SLA, SLS, FDM, Objet, and DLMS - all forms of 3d printing/Additive manufacturing along with cast urethanes, silicones, injection molding, and CNC, and now a reseller for the mark forged.

That is awesome. I'll be graduating shortly with a BA in Plastic engineering. I deal with additive manufacturing all of the time although my degree is focused more towards the industrial manufacturing side of things. I'm looking to get into the design and prototyping industry. I find it very interesting. I've been into a lot of organic composites and metal injection stuff lately.

You wouldn't happen to have any recommendations on kits would you?

im not really up to speed on the home use kits... everything i have is industrial large scale machines.

We have a few stratasys machines as well. To you use them for internal use only or sell the service?

same though, use for internal purposes only. I work for a major aviation company and we rapid prototype many R&D parts for production, production machine design, mold masters, etc., etc. The titanium machine is for R&D prototype airfoil tests.
