I have a 2009 Buell XB12SCG with 1,559 miles and I'm looking at replacing the some stock body work with a few carbon fiber pieces;
- tank (air box) cover
- wind screen
- front fender

There are a number of manufacturers including; MDI, American Sport Bike, Tekarbon and Ilmberger. Does any have any experience good or bad with any of these suppliers? My main concerns would be fit and finish (including uv protectilon).

Thank in advance,

John

What color is your SCG? I have a full set of carbon plastics (air box, fender, windscreen thingy) and would consider a trade.

I have MDI. Beautiful pieces for the prices. Most the pieces fit great. A few had a little bit of trimming required. Little sanding down in spots. Easy.

A few questions did you go with the gloss or matte finish? And did you go with the plain or twill weave?

Thanks

JB

I have twill in gloss black. Would have went matte if it was available at the time. Have had it a few years not and no fading. Wax regularly. Here is a pic, sorry its not great.

Sorry to thread jack, that pic is big. ASB makes nice stuff but you will pay double. I have a few of their pieces.
