Hi guys, first of all thanks to everyone for the wealth of info on this forum.

I'm about to be the proud owner of a 2006 Buell Lightning Long / XB12ss and was wondering what it would take to make it into more of a touring bike, cases ect... any suggestions would be appeciated. Thanks:cool:

You should really get an XB12X as it is exactly what you are describing. You can convert an SS by getting an "X" subframe, seat etc. It will cost more money in the end, but you can always sell some parts to offset the others.

Get some soft bags to throw over the seat and go for a ride! I like the Moto Centric ones.

As you ride it longer and get used to it, only you can decide what will make you more comfortable.

Welcome to the forum, congrats on the new ride:)
