swingarm kit is 1700.00, at least from Buell Racing Parts, then you gotta get sprockets and a chain. I wish I had known they were available before I traded my 12 for a 1125...

What's the value in going from a belt to a chain?

Chains are more maintanance, no?

I've never felt a downside to my belt.

they wear out your transmission faster due to being so torquey and not having the give the belt does no one wants to buy a new tranny -_- no one.

I did a chain conversion and love it. I have some motor work done so i geared it up cuz i do a lot of commuting on highways and straight roads. I have spare sprockets for trackdays and racing to adjust the gearing. I personally love it, it is a bit more maintenance. If you just ride it on the street and have no work done to the bike its probably not worth it. If you just love the look then go for it. I didn't do the EBR conversion, I just got a vortex rear sprocket, pbi front, and the idle is from tractor supply. There is some great threads on here for for conversion that are extremely informative if you search for them.

Thats not the EBR kit because it doesn't have adjustable rear axle. Thats just a sprocket and idler swap. I hear you can run into chain slap as the chain stretches if you go that route. I'm no expert, just read up a little on it.

lol backwoods_buellxb9r why the heck did you look up such an old pointless thread and make random comment about what you think chain conversions do to a transmission.

And be mostly wrong cause chains make no difference compared to a belt on the transmission. Way to make a point to people who have the chain (myself). If you were researching this old thread you clearly are envious. [down]
