CHARGING UPGRADE?

Are there upgrades to the Uly charging system to up the "VOLTAGE ANTE"?... so one doesn't have to worry about overloading when using extra lights and heated gear.

What model Uly? The '08 already have a HD Stator for the Police edition bikes and all there electronic gear, isn't there 2-15 amp accessory circuits in the fuse box, I think you would have a hard time overloading the charging system, JMO. I have been wrong before

I used the series regulator from Cycle Electric along with a Cycle Electric stator both from Roadstercycle. Nice smooth power from 800 RPM up. Used together they have a two year warranty. I am very happy with this upgrade.

Thanks for the last 2 posts. I,m not ready yet, but I want to add front LED lights and heated gear in the future; and don't want to burn up the stator...already wired to run both headlights.

Arent the 09 stuff pre wired for heated gear? And LED lights require much less amps to run so those upgrades shouldnt put any strain on the charging system. Its not voltage thats the issue its the amps, and the stator will generate 70 some A/C volts and 80amps, the regulator is what handles your power needs.

Will retain stock dual headlights and add additional LEDs...plus heated gear (gloves and jacket)...plus GPS. My son wired his Firebolt to run high/low simultaneously plus heated gloves and burned up his stator...maybe a coincidence IDK.
