I thought i was seeing things, but look at this absolutely FLAWLESS X1 for sale on ebay.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buel...motorcycles&hash=item2c70612917&vxp=mtr#v4-40

oh WAIT.. its not FLAWLESS... look at the frame by the rear header pipe.... This guy installed an S1 header on an X1.... but it didnt fit, so he CUT THE FRAME OUT to fit the exhaust..... WTF????

but who am i to comment, i've never been an HD service manager before so what do I know...???

As an eBay Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
could have at least put a bent piece back in to fit over or under the pipe.

$4500 is crack pipe price anyway. thats a decent xb12 price

I would think that would be unsafe. I mean there has to be some flexing in that frame now, putting stress on all the joints. I would think its only a matter of time before there are some stress cracks. And dont even try to wheelie that thing. Just my two cents.

How could someone cut the frame and then try selling it that way what an ass. Flawless ( NOT ) ! Really not safe to me.

Got excited when I saw the title of the thread... Then laughed when I read the comments... And shook my head when I actually saw it for myself.... What the actual fuck dude...

Someone on Badweb is bidding on it and they don't plan on paying for it. He's trying to make sure some doesn't get screwed. I hope he doesn't screw himself in the process.
Matt

I hope he knows he is legally agreeing to buy the bike by bidding on it.

Yeah...as an eBay seller I wish this was true.
Buyers can pretty much get away with murder on eBay these days. All he might get is a slap on the wrist.

the guy selling the bike is saying that in the install instructions for the Kooks header, it says to cut the frame... my ass it does. He is using the wrong header for that bike. I just emailed kooks asking them about it and showing them a picture....

My text to him
Hey Mike I seen your buell with the cut frame on Ebay. Just so you know you have made the forums on line. More than one will be reporting the sale. You bought the wrong exhaust and it didn't fit so you cut the frame.... Once again only in Florida.

Lol don't really expect anything back

wow got a response

Him:
Bought it with exhaust and motor work performed. Motor and trans are the lower section of the frame and upper is untouched. Rides perfect and unless some one is planning on jumping buses with it it will be fine. Glad to give the forums something to chat about though. Listing has been updated.

Me:
Dude it's wrong and very unsafe your missing part of the frame. You where probably throwing belts like crazy dew to the torque twisting the frame so that's why it now has chain drive. This is what a x1 kooks pipe looks like your bike has a s1 pipe on it. The s1 frame sits lower hence the exhaust sitting higher, causing you to have to cut the frame to make a S1 exhaust fit an X1.

Wonder what was not good enough about the stock 2.5" headder setup? Too bad. Well, at least bare frames show up for sale from time to time. Couple of nice X! bikes have fetched a lot less lately on the bay.

Apparently he is getting a lot of flak, I sent a polite email thru feebay and got a rather testy reply. Nice bike other than the frame issue in my opinion
