Hello everyone, i am taking orders for my gas cap repair. This winter is a good time to take your gas cap apart to see if its starting to strip out. I will take orders now until Jan 1st, then i will place my order with my machine shop, and have them around Feb 1st. Then i will start contacting people to make arrangements for you to ship them to me. Price is $20 plus $6 shipping. Any question e-mail me at [email protected]

Thank you Eric

Took mine apart yesterday I was hoping that mine was stripped but it is not. My problem seams to be that the black plastic piece has swollen some how and barely fits in the hole. I think my only fix is to take the piece out of the tank and use a dremel and take just a little bit of metal of of the edge of the filler hole.

I have one like that too. Its on an extra tank so i am not worried about it. I thought it might be the rubber seals in the tank had gotten hard and wouldnt let the cap go aall the way in.

I'm wondering if the ethanol in the gas has something to do with the plastic piece swelling. My dad is the one that noticed it when I had the cap apart setting next to the tank. It's like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.[confused]

"Funny" I've had 6 tubers and 8 XB's none of which had a problem with gas caps....[confused]
