Has anyone ever had problems with the wire form that holds the clutch cable in place on the front of the engine near the front head pipe? I was working on the bike today and realized mine was broken. After doing some research on a part number to replace it I found several others complaining of the same problem. In 2008 they updated the part it looks 10 times better and hopefully will keep me from replacing it more then just this once. Part number N0012.1AAA in case anyone is interested. This is a picture of the new part.

this was a warrentey fix about a year ago. it was a free fix at any buell dealer. most people's broke and melted on the header. mine got replaced at my first oil change.

I read about this when I got my bike. I smelt some burning one time when I was warming it up and low and behold...

The dealer replaced the bracket no charge. If you have the paperclip on your bke call your dealer immediately!

It took several weeks for the to get the part. I let them know that my clutch cable now has a big burn in it, but it wasn't replaced. Has anyone been able to get the burnt cable replaced?
