i knocked my bike over last week and bent the oem clutch lever and i was wondering if i had to do any adjusting of the clutch cable or primary if i replace the bent oem lever with a new oem lever? will it affect the cable pull? any help from you guys would be appreciated!![confused]

If you are using an OEM lever, you should not have to adjust it, but it is really an easy adjustment to do. Just follow the manual. That way you make sure it is right and you dont wear anything out prematurely. If you are dead set againts not adjusting it, you should be fine as long as it is an OEM lever.

+1 on Tuneport. Just ensure you have the correct gapping, referencing the pic below. If not, like Tuneport said, adjust according to the Service manual. Download via "Buell Service Manuals" link at the top of this page, if you haven't already.

alright guys got her put back together and running good as new. thats for the advice but i now have another foolish question, both my head lights aren't on at the same time. the left one (while looking at the bike) is always on but the right one only comes on when i turn the brights on? i was reading another post and saw that the lightings have to be mod to have both on while the firebolts should come on together if i am mistaken place let me know. thanks.

Check your relays and fuses. A firebolt should have both lights on when the brights are on.

Thats is normal for new Firebolts. I have an 09, and that is how mine works. only time both are on is when i turn on the highbeams.

Ok a little correction. When looking at the bike, the left is the normal, and the right is the bright.
Each headlight does NOT do both functions. So turning on your bright switch just turns on the second light. Hope this helps.

thanks for the reply guys, guess i am ok after all then!![up] hey xtremelow you coming into town this year for the truck bash? im in indy.

No ITB any more. But I will most likely be down there for the NHRA Drag racing Event in Aug.
