clutch piston kit

Two questions. One looking in the manual i will need the clutch release tool to install the EBR clutch piston kit correct? has any one attempted a homemade one looks pretty simple.

Secondly has any one tried to replace the o-rings? I am thinking this may be my issue as this just happened while the bike was sitting while i was on deployment.

Brumbear has been in the clutch cover numerous times, give him a shout. He was working on aftermarket o-rings, don't know the final outcome.
