Hello everyone,I just got a 2001 M2 with 34k miles with an engine rebuilt 8K ago. After riding 15-20 minutes, when engaging the clutch in 1st gear from a dead stop, it starts to engage, slips for a split second and then engages and seems to work fine until the next start from a dead stop. When its cold if does not do this. Thanks in advance for any solutions for my slippage.

Check your Clutch Spring on the Clutch Basket, You can go through the motions and re-adjust the clutch cable first. Then Test the Bike. Then the Clutch Basket adjusting screw assembly. It helps if the bikes rear wheel is SAFELY off the ground. This way you can watch the Operation of the Bike. BUT remember the Shifting is Different Cause theres no load on the wheel. So easy does it! Also check your Primary Fluid Level first before doing any work. Might want to [find] Maybe Libuary, you a Book on your ride. So as to help some in Future, this way Torque Specs and such are right there. Try & Google that also~Jimi
