Hi team my 08 1125 has done 12500km and i run out of clutch fluid. it is coming out a weep hole on the right hand side and our HD dealer doesnt want to know about it. Is there an aftermaket kit or is there a way of contacting HD direct? Does any one know what the kit would cost? So much for waranty or is it just my dealer?

I agree with you all as i understand it this should still be covered under warranty. i brought my baby brand new and have been a very deligant dad to her, but with HD finishing with the Buell line it is like pulling teath to get any where these days :(

I know that there was some sort of seal kit to rememdy that. Since the weep is really minimal, like a class 1 leak, I just let it drip and fill the reservoir if I need to.

^^ it just gets worse- and pretty fast (and Fs up your boots). Here is a link to some other forum with part numbers etc. since you have the 2008, there is an upgrade available.

Do the google search on that site- there is a lot threads.

Even with the Rev C kit these are still leaking.....

Forum member Brumbear had some seals made last year to his specs that he is still testing (as well as a few other members). I will be trying a set myself on both of my 1125R's.

I've just hit the same (or at least similar) issue. Got home today and the plug was missing from the clutch cover. Clutch would hardly disengage so it's clearly lost fluid.

Am I right in thinking the plug plays a role in holding hydraulic fluid in or is there a seal inside that should be doing that? (i.e. is the bike theoretically rideable without the plug?)

Did he have them on ebay for a while or was ths a different person? Mike when he has some available let us know!

This "puck" is more of a cosmetic dust cover. The seals that are leaking are internal to that.

Thanks Bossanova. I guess the seals going could have forced out the plug?

I'm praying they have the seal kit in stock at the HD dealer I'm sending the bike to. It's a pain getting parts over here in the UK - everything has to come from the states.

Just had a mad bit of luck. On a whim I thought I'd drive on the same route as I rode the bike to see if I could spot the missing dust cover. Got the end of my road and saw a suspicious back disc in the gutter which turned out to be my part! It's a bit scuffed but looks usable.

The bad bit is I need to fork out £273 (~$440) for a master cylinder repair kit. I think they're about half that in the states.

i am in the same boat $400 N.Z. Dollars to repair. I am pulling mine to bits tomorrow to see what i can find and then to SKF Beerings to see if i can match the seals and try and get the price down

I plan on taking this up with HD. I realise that the bike is out of warranty (although only just) and that they can't support people ad-infinitum, however £273 for just a couple of small parts is taking the piss.

I'll let you know how I get on.
