Color opinions needed.

Thinking of doing a Mad Max type of Flat Black on all my Plastics....shell out what you guys think...

I am liking all the new flat black paint jobs I have been seeing so I think it would look pretty good for sure. I think you would need to do the frame and the swing arm too though for it to look good. I am not a huge fan of that front wind screen you currently have but that is only my opinion, I think it kills the look of the bike.

Don't knock it till ya try it.....wasn't looking for a bash on my windshield but "To Each Their Own", just an opinion on my revelation of a color change. Thanks.

if i'm not mistaking the '03 xb9 had flat black as colorscheme

Mines flat and I like it. I have the same gold rims and don't think they look that bad with the Flat black.

Its actually dark primer gray but it looks black from a distance. I still have some more to paint but I'm waiting for the back tire to need changing so I can paint the rims and tail section and head light bucket at the same time. Im thinking a Flat Black Metallic from HOtrodz Flat. Was going to paint it OD green but I have see too many Buells OD green after doing a search of pic's.

I like flat black but I think there is too many people doint it either on their bike or helmets so I'm starting to not like it as much. It still is cool but I like to be different and flat isn't different anymore.

haha PsychoXB, we were dicussing riding together in another thread and I just thought it was funny that we have same exact bike minus a few details. We both have the chopped tail and amber wheels and decals and black plastics. You have the chopped exhaust with the big polished tip like I am having Special OPS do on mine as well along with the bar-end mirrors.

I have LED signals though and I lack the cumbersome extended windshield you are sporting, but I imagine it works well. Give me a call next week and we can put a ride in, btw, love the bike, I should when it resembles mine haha.
