I already have an XB9 Lightning but called my local HD Buell Dealer today to enquire about deals on Buells since the announcement.
He offered me a new XB12R $9,300 (remember this is Canada). My question is, how will the bike feel / ride compared to my XB9 Lightning? I'm ready to do a deal if the bike rides like I imagine...I'm not a speed freak but love my Buell for its grunt and appearance.
Any advice ?

It will have a lot more off the line power, but not much of a noticeable top end difference. The seating position is a little uncomfortable for the first 1000 miles, but you'll learn to love it. Around town it doesn't feel as nimble at all compared to your bike, but once you are in the twisties, you'll prefer the sporty feel of the R. Hope this helped.

CanadaXB... I'm 6'3" and 185lbs oh... and 40 years old too.. the Ergos of the R suit me well and should work even better for you at your height.
comparing it to your S... you'll be in a more forward leaning position with your legs pulled up all of 1 inch higher. just remind yourself not to lock your elbows, and you'll be nice and comfortable... if you let yourself lock your elbows... 20 miles will be exhausting...

Dude! Where are you located? I just bought a 10 bolt andhe said there were only 2 in ontario! I wonder if i can still get a deal?

PS dont really care if i do or not, I was after this bike for 5 yrs now

I bought a yellow 2010 without even seeing it in person. I am hoping the yellow is nice. Is it the same yellow that they used before or is it a new color for 2010? I really like that black and blue combination, but they didn't have it.

I take delivery of the black and blue bolt this week and I bought some white plastics as well. about 650 for the full set. I'm wondering if my dealer will give me a discount or a little off the top for the current situation.
