convert 12r into 12s?

I'm thinking about converting my 05 XB12r front end into a 12s.

Anyone done this before?

Any thoughts on it - or should i just buy a 12s if thats what I'm looking for?

Could be a bit more difficult than you think. I believe the ECM is in the front fairing on the R and it is under the seat on the S & X. That might require a LOT of wire work.

I would suggest buying an S model ! With the prices and all. i love my R. I wouldnt chop on it, to make an S but am thinking on getting one for my wife? Well thats my excuse anyway!

No chopping required. It's pretty easy if to do the swap if you have someone to trade with. Remember, you have to swap wiring harnesses
