Saw this ad on Craigslist and I have to say this is probably one of my favorite customization projects I have seen (along with the XB cafe project already on this forum.) I know everyone has different preferences but IMO this bikes takes advantage of the already futuristic styling of the bike and steps it up to year 2100.

I remember a thread here where the owner installed the CR headlight. It looks awesome. If I remember right, he made mods to install it onto his XB. My question is, can you just install the whole front of a CR (forks, clamps, headlight) in a package so that no custom work would be needed? I wasn't sure if the front end is compatible or not. Thanks.

I have the CR headlight installed on my XB. You can look back in my pictures to see all of that.

I've thought a lot the question you've presented. The answer should lie in the triple trees steering stem length and diameter. I had one here at one time and I sold it. I would almost venture to say the instrument cluster and ignition might plug in as well.

Just swap the top triple, bars, and drill holes in the lower triple for the headlight stabilizer, then it mounts directly.

Contrary to something from another member, the CR lower triple does have holes for the headlight stabilization pegs. Otherwise, yes you can swap the lower triple so that he CR forks will work as well.
