Cooling Fan #2...lol

So. Took the bike in got the breaks replaced. They said they re flashed my ECM. So I took it out for a ride and kept it at 3500 rpms for a good stint. All the choppyness went away, BUT......

Now my cooling fan runs while im riding, I cant hear it in the higher revs or at speed, but as I slow down to stop lights/signs I hear it, then it turns off when I get to about 10-15mph, then cuts back on once I start moving again. And now it also will not turn on after my ride is finished...

Im at a loss, should I have them re flash it again? Give it a couple days and see if it works it self out? Iono really.


Also, im throwing an engine code for my Exhaust actuator, if any of you have one you took off after going aftermarket I would love to get it off your hands. Saves me the $165 they want for a new one.

thats normal,the reflash updated the fan settings.dont know on the code

So your saying thats how my fan will continue to act? Or that its normal for it to act that way immediately after a Re flash?

Cause I'v had two re flashes in the past and my fan never changed pace.

This was a new update. Expect better gas mileage and a much cooler bike. It's a good thing, trust me.

Agreed! It will keep the bike much cooler. Just annoying to hear it all the time.

i got that flash and the only part that sucks is it heats up my seat more than before they tried to tell me at the harley place that they did not change when the fan runs and that i was crazy but hey i think that i know my bike

mine actually cuts on/off at 14 mph

Sweet Stang! How much ya want for it? That check engine light is buggin the hell outta me.

And ya MOBMechJoe, I noticed it cutting on and off right around 15mph too. But I have also noticed im sitting at 110 miles to this tank with no gas light. I can deal with hearing the fan when I slow down for THAT!
