Steven: Got lucky, should have listened, sometimes I get too excited for my own good.

Last question ( for now :) )

If I performed the TPS reset (I have done it before), and I ride it, but the throttle reponse is a little slow for a stand still, did I do something wrong? I idles fine and runs great, but when I hit the throttle from a standstill I can hear it suck air but it takes a second to kick in, or a little extra throttle? Bad reset on my TPS?

I get the tps zeroed out, make sure it sticks a little, then reset it, unstick it and adjust it to the correct setting. Something I'm missing or do I just have to ride it for awhile first?

It sounds like it's running a bit rich at down in the low rpm, high throttle range. Do you have an airbox delete? Bringing in more air could help lean it out

Thanks to the messages of this post I update the ECM values with the Race ECM and the bike works great!!!
However, I've unchecked the AFV and White wire settings. What exactly do this to the bike? It is safe on a longterm basis to keep the bike working on this setting.

Thanks and best regards,

Lightning - under the seat towards the rear of the compartment

Firebolts - underneath the Front fairing

I have a problem!
I connected ECM spy and juste feetched the eeprom to have something to fall back on! Now the bike hardly runs. What went wrong?
Do anyone have a set or original eeprom sw that i could burn!I have BUEGB.
Please help me since the bike is just standing in the garage!

In that case i dont know what!
I have downloaded a race eeprom but that does not work either. I have my ideas that the cold start enrichment is playing some tricks! It is on 186% and it sound a lot. Does anyone know how to get that value down! The engine temp is ok but since the engine does not start it is hard to get it warm and it is now +-0 in sweden!
Best regards
Martin

Ok.I have looked and looked, but I can`t find it.I need the race fuel maps 04 xb12r.Can anyone help,or point me in the right direction. Thanks

i tried to download the maps from that ecm website and after download complete, i open it with ecm spy and it shows nothing on maps. no info loads up. Whats wrong?

I know this thread is fairly old, but just curious about anyone having the software and/or cables that go with this program. I looked on their website, and they say that it is not available for public use anymore. If anyone has one I can borrow/buy/or whatever else anyone can think of, I would like to tune my 06 9r from the stock ECM to a race ECM. Thank you in advance.

You can buy the cable and software on eBay for around $40 and find the maps on here Or on buellmods.com

@ztied

You're asking about getting an EEPROM for a specific year/bike. You can do this one of a few ways.

American Sport Bike has them mapped for a variety of aftermarket combinations, and they can burn it for you as well. They did this when they were doing their shoot out tests -- they had the bikes on a dyno, mapped, and then saved it. There's a good chance they have your combination, but it'll run you around $300.

You can grab a friend's if they trust you to hook your PC up to their bike. Or you could troll around the chat boards until you find someone with a similar bike who is familiar with ECM Spy.

Lastly, you can have a dyno person in your area put your bike on a dyno, and then let them do it for you. Where I live (MN), there's a place that will do the whole thing for about $250, and it will be perfect for your specific bike.

Most of the programs that come with the cables off of Ebay have the earlier versions of ECMSpy with them. Here's a download for the last version that came out: ECMSpy Download. Also, might want to check cable prices from Xoptiinside.com. He's a Bueller and a trustworthy source. That can't be said for all of Ebay.

Are there any negatives to putting the race maps on your bike? Any risk of messing up numbers if you use the copy and paste method?

Yes, there is a risk. There's another thread where a member (rsx-somethingoranother) actually pointed out a better method. Check out the last post of my DIY thread and you'll see his method. Pretty easy and shouldn't mess anything up.

I suggest reading up a good bit before doing anything just so that you know what you are doing without going - "Why am i doing this?"
