I searched everywhere for this but can't find anything. Has anyone gotten a quote on painting the plastic on their firebolt? I just got my bike and the guy who had it before me botched up the plactic pretty good, just come weird colors I can't get out. Plastic is in good condition though. Anyone give me a BALLPARK?

Also just while I'm asking this, anyon ever gotten their frame or wheels powdercoated? Price? Thanks!

As far as paint it all depends on the paint, color, design, the shop, and time.

I know a buddy who is going repaint my bike to include all the prep work and wet sand and buff. But it is a friend an he is going to charge me $300.

I know there really is no comparison but if you have a shop do all the prep and paint along with wet sand and buff I would estimate $600-$700 for a solid color, depending on the design that could add any where from $100- $1000.

I am sure you car find somewhere to paint your bike for close to $300 but the quality will lack somewhere for sure. Also depends on of you want the insides painted. Seems dumb but I am having even the insides painted.

As far as the powdercoat I have a buddy who just had his truck wheels coated for $40 a pop. Frame on the other hand would have to be another story with gas in the frame and needing to be dismantaled from the bike so if all of that was no issue I would say the frame should be around $100 if already stripped of paint, if not $300-$400 for labor of removing the stock coat.

It is all going to depend on what you are after in your painting. The key thing to remeber though is that when it comes to paint, you WILL get what you pay for.

Xtremelow, I paint bikes, check out my post under do it yourself mods, under "new paint"

sedars, what would you charge to paint the plastics of a firebolt ina solid GM blue? plastics are near new also, so no body work needed.
